Before You Call

What you’ll need.

Your contract number

On your contract documents or confirmation email. Your name, address, and phone number help us find it if the number isn’t handy.

The property details

Auto: year, make, model, VIN, and current mileage. Home: the address on the agreement and the system or appliance that failed.

What happened

When the failure started, what you noticed, and anything already done about it. Plain description is fine — diagnosis is the professional’s job.

Common Questions

Straight answers.

Do I pay the repair bill and get reimbursed?

For covered claims handled through our network, no — we pay the repair facility or contractor directly for the authorized, covered work. You pay any deductible or service fee your contract specifies, plus anything outside coverage that you approve.

How fast will I get an answer?

Eligibility is confirmed on the first call. Coverage decisions on straightforward diagnoses are typically issued while the vehicle is in the shop or the contractor is on site; complex claims can require inspection or records, and we say so up front.

Why does my contract show a different brand name?

Protection programs are sold under consumer brand names; NAHSC is the administrator working behind them. If your contract names NAHSC as administrator, this is the right place — your brand’s name stays on your coverage.

Is this insurance?

No. Vehicle service contracts and home service agreements are not insurance policies. They are contracts to repair or replace what the agreement covers, under the terms and limits the agreement states.

What if a claim is declined?

Any declined claim is explained against the specific contract language it was decided on, in writing on request — and you can always ask us to walk through it with you.
